Our client is a leading construction firm known for delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. They are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced In-House Counsel to join their team. Role and Responsibilities As the In-House Counsel, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to the company on a wide range of legal matters. Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: Work closely with the Company’s operating units to understand the business and associated challenges, opportunities, and risks. Work closely with Project Managers to ensure proper document control, project issues, and client relationships. Advising on construction law, contract negotiations, and compliance with legal regulations. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, including construction agreements, subcontracts, various teaming and JV agreements, purchase orders, and service agreements. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating property leases. Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and closing property purchase agreements and related agreements (easement agreements, escrow agreements, etc.). Managing and resolving disputes and claims. Litigation management. Reviewing and updating RCI’s employment practices, handbooks, literature, etc., and ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and regulations. Providing legal guidance on risk management and mitigation strategies. Collaborating with external legal counsel as needed. Maintaining proficiency in construction law, real estate law, and related industry standards as changes arise. Conduct research and analysis as needed.
