About The Position

We’re looking for In-Home Sales & Tech Support to work during our busiest hours. This is an entry-level role, ideal for someone starting their career, who enjoys talking to people and wants hands-on sales experience. You’ll start with paid training to prepare you to work independently in the field, learning products and gaining hands-on sales experience while building skills in communication, negotiation, and problem-solving. Ongoing coaching and mentoring will support your growth. Requirements

  • Comfortable working in a sales environment with set targets
  • A valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record with at least 1 year driving experience
  • Ability to provide proof of valid car insurance (excluded: Manhattan)
  • A personal vehicle (excluding motorcycles)
  • Ability to travel a maximum expected distance of 120 miles, one-way, to customer service appointments located in neighborhoods and cities surrounding your inventory warehouse
  • Ability to work a varied 5-day week schedule designed to meet customers on their timeline – this will include evenings, weekends and holidays
  • A personal cellphone to keep in the know while on the job
  • Must be comfortable working around household pets
  • Efficient, adaptable, goal-oriented and persuasive communication skills
  • Open-minded with a passion for learning a wide range of skills that will carry through a variety of career paths
  • Naturally outgoing individual who thrives in human interaction
  • Afternoon and evening availability required
  • Ability to work a standard 5-day schedule from 4:05 PM–9:00 PM (end time may vary based on customer needs) or provide 25 hours of availability each week across 4 or more days, with shifts between 12:05 PM and 9:00 PM, available to work until 9:00 PM on scheduled days

Responsibilities

  • Meet customers in-home, in-office, or wherever they are
  • Effectively meet and surpass sales targets
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire interaction, always prioritizing the customer first
  • Utilize expertise to address and resolve customers’ tech issues
  • Provide an understandable solution, regardless of customers’ tech knowledge
  • Ensure customers leave with a resolution that works and a product that addresses their future tech needs
  • Leverage Asurion’s growing range of products to offer tailored solutions to customers
  • Listen actively to identify customer needs and position products uniquely to meet those needs
  • Use strong negotiation and communications skills to make a smooth pivot and make the appropriate sale
