About The Position

As an In-Home Sales Specialist, you will determine the scope of work to help homeowners during property-loss events. You’ll meet with qualified homeowners for in-home appointments that are scheduled by our dispatching coordinators—no cold calling. This role is ideal for a consultative, high-urgency salesperson who can build trust quickly, educate customers, and close the sale in a one-visit appointment while maintaining honesty, empathy, and professionalism.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of outside sales experience (in-home, restoration, construction, or services strongly preferred).
  • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to execute a one-visit close.
  • Computer skills required with the ability to learn new systems; comfort using technology and field equipment/software.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer-first, empathetic approach.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed, including some holidays and weather-related surge events.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with homeowners for in-home appointments (qualified leads provided—no cold calling).
  • Evaluate job scope using moisture meters and other technology; identify mitigation needs and recommended services.
  • Provide clear solutions by quickly building trust, showing empathy, and guiding customers through next steps.
  • Secure work authorization onsite by delivering honest consultations and following established sales steps.
  • Communicate job status with customers, company management, and (when needed) insurance carriers.
  • Process required documentation promptly and ensure all paperwork and system entries are accurate and complete.
  • Coordinate with dispatch and operations teams to support smooth job handoff and scheduling.
  • Maintain strong communication and customer service throughout the sales process.
