About The Position

As a Project Portfolio Insights & Analytics Manager, you will play a pivotal role in influencing data-driven decision-making within our organization. You will provide value by providing analysis and interpretation of complicated data sets and providing actionable insights that support strategic portfolio management. You will identify trends, assess portfolio performance, and recommend improvements to optimize our portfolio's overall effectiveness. Collaborating closely across the cross-functional Project Portfolio teams, you will ensure that data analytics align with business objectives and drives simplified & effective decision making for IMSC. In this role, you will harness analytical tools, methodologies & data visualization skills to develop comprehensive reports and dashboards that communicate key findings across all levels of IMSC. Your ability to translate data into relevant narratives will be crucial in guiding decision-makers and enhancing visibility of portfolio performance and health. Additionally, you will be tasked with continuously evaluating industry trends and best practices to ensure our analytics capabilities mature to meet future needs. The manager will apply business analytics providing actionable data to shape decision making and business outcomes for IMSC users.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent University degree is required, focus degree in science, engineering, IT or business is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years working in analytics or related field.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools; experience with dashboard creation is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and address constraints effectively.
  • A proven ability to synthesize large quantities of finance, process and technical information and present cogent recommendations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with Planisware or related PPM tool.
  • Familiarity with data architecture.
  • Knowledge / deep understanding of IMSC models and ways of working, systems and tools preferred; experience with portfolio/project management and portfolio decision making is preferred.
  • Demonstrates strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret data, assess business impacts, and make sound, data-driven decisions

Responsibilities

  • Translate requirements into usable reports and analytics; harness data sets to deliver meaningful business insights.
  • Apply visualization tools to develop business relevant narratives and provide decision support to all levels of IMSC Leadership; Experience using graphical representation to design a consistent and thoughtful visual story together.
  • Deliver reporting & insights across E2E Portfolio (Health of the Portfolio, Robustness, Risks, etc.); simplify reporting & deliver strong data visualizations to enhance the clarity and impact of insights.
  • Collaborate with Governance and Intake leaders to provide reporting & analysis for their forums.
  • Shape Dashboards, Reporting, KPIs, etc. to ensure ongoing alignment of portfolio health to strategy & execution.
  • Work across levels/functions to capture feedback and improve tools and processes.
  • Research and learn new analysis tools and methods in real time as technology or business needs evolve including the future state of reporting and analytics with the context of AI.
