About The Position

Under the direction of the Senior Director of Quality Improvement, this role focuses on driving improvement and innovation within the departments assigned, managing multi-departmental projects, and facilitating planning processes. The ideal candidate will be skilled in change management, data analysis, and various improvement tools. They will act as a resource and mentor for employees, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and vision while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Participates in Core Connections training and applies GPTLHB Core Connections concepts and practices in their work.
  • Familiarity and/or experience working with American Indian populations and respect for and knowledge of traditional, cultural, and spiritual practices of diverse American Indian communities, as well as an ability to work with other culturally and ethnically diverse populations.
  • Proficiency with computer programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other Internet technologies.
  • Valid driver’s license must be kept current, and certificates, credentials or licenses must be kept current and consistent with regulations required by applicable federal, state and/or grant regulations as applies to position.
  • Work in a cooperative and professional manner with OHC and GPTLHB staff.
  • Treat Great Plains tribes and collaborators with dignity and respect.
  • Utilize effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advance personal educational development by attending training sessions and seminars as appropriate.

  • Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent education/training and work experience
  • One (1) year of Improvement Advisor I experience; OR demonstrated proficiency as Improvement Advisor I at Oyate Health Center. Bachelor's degree; OR equivalent education/training and work experience. Four (4) years of experience in division wide improvement, innovation, change management.

Responsibilities

  • Advise and manage improvement initiatives and projects across departments, aligning with corporate objectives
  • Ensure compliance with the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and other regulatory and accrediting bodies
  • Advise and lead efforts to maintain AAAHC accreditation and ensure ongoing compliance with accreditation standards
  • Utilize and coach others in change management techniques and improvement tools (e.g., Model for Improvement)
  • Conduct data collection, analysis, and interpretation to drive decision-making and process improvements
  • Mentor and train teams on improvement tools, techniques, and best practices
  • Document processes, procedures, and systems using standardized methodologies and tools
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define goals, implement changes, and evaluate outcomes
  • Stay current with improvement tools and methods, sharing lessons learned across the organization
  • Work effectively in a rapidly changing and innovative healthcare system
  • Be self-directed and take proactive initiative to assist others.
  • Exercise flexibility to alter plans/routines when situations require, and continue to perform without projecting stress/frustration that would adversely affect the work environment.
  • Embrace modes of appearance and attire that reflect a professional presence.
  • Adhere to GPTLHB policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
