About The Position

Essential Job Functions Receive, review, and process import documentation for an assigned base of accounts Obtain and process Customs release and other government agency releases as appropriate, arranging delivery, and invoicing the import accounts to their SOP Monitor transactions and notify supervisory personnel of any problem or irregularities Provide excellent and timely customer service by informing the customer of the status of their shipment(s) Coordinate the release of goods from the carrier, customs or other governmental agency examinations that may be required Other duties as assigned Other Skills & Abilities Strong oral and written communication skills. Must have excellent customer service skills, responding promptly and professionally to customer needs and requests for service and assistance. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using units of U.S. currency, weight, volume and distance measurements Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine correspondence. Must be detail oriented with good organizational skills Strong computer skills Physical Requirements Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus Job may require extended sitting or standing, use of standard office equipment. Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED Two to three years related experience At least one year industry experience preferred.
