About The Position

As the Import Export Operations Manager, you will oversee the transportation and trade compliance processes of all imports and exports of finished goods and raw materials. You will also manage the performance of external providers, establishing communication procedures and reporting key performance indicators to the leadership team. You will report to the Senior Logistics Manager within the Traffic solutions business unit. This position will be 3 days a week on site and can be based out of the PPG Corporate General Office in Pittsburgh, PA or Greensboro, NC. Must be or relocate to within commutable distance. Key Responsibilities Import & Export Estimated Freight Spend of approximately $2,300,000 Parcel shipments out of all our Traffic Solution sites; approximate yearly spend of $200,0000. Manage the performance of outsourced partners such as freight forwarders, small parcel providers and customs brokers and maintain periodic business reviews; Develop standard operating procedures for all international shipment modes, whether import or export; Oversee supply chain visibility reports of international shipments in transit Report metrics (e.g., cost per unit, on-time delivery, ISF filing entries); Coordinate issuance of export documentation and attestations and apostilles; Qualification process of finished goods for USMCA and other Free Trade Agreements; Oversee Restricted Party Screening (RPS), Denied Parties (DPL) Screening and other import and export regulatory requirements; Ensure ISF and AES entries are filed and support duty drawback efforts. Provide total landed costs quotes or estimates to procurement and commercial teams; Lead training and continuous improvement efforts related to international shipments Maintain IATA, IMO & DOT training certifications updated and be point of escalation for questions related to international and small parcel DG shipments. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or APICS CLTD certification with a minimum 5 years' experience in the international logistics and trade compliance field and experience with Hazmat shipments Experience with a Customs Brokerage provider. Optional- Licensed Customs Broker or Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) is a plus Familiarity with ACE portal system and experience with SAP #LI- A strong background in logistics, supply chain management, and 3rd party warehouse operations is preferred. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or APICS CLTD certification with a minimum 5 years' experience in the international logistics and trade compliance field and experience with Hazmat shipments
  • Experience with a Customs Brokerage provider

Nice To Haves

  • Licensed Customs Broker or Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) is a plus
  • Familiarity with ACE portal system and experience with SAP
