About The Position

We are looking for an immediate long-term contract opening for an Import Export Agent in Atlanta, GA for our client an International Cargo company. We are looking for ambitious and detail-oriented individuals to perform fast-paced warehouse cargo work, under supervision. Responsibilities: Processes export & import inquiries as per client requirements and procedures such as processing of discrepancies at acceptance, preparation and finalization of outbound flights/trucks & handling of import documentation (delivery, transfer, and abandoned shipment) Processes all Air Waybills and HAWBs & ensures accurate data capture as per client’s requirements and procedures Handles Special Cargo Initiates invoicing, accepts cash payments Performs Service Recovery activities (i.e. tracing, warehouse checks, offloads) and Airmail Handling Fully supports the quality standards Works according to documented CHM and GOM procedures Observe & apply the security requirements of the client and local authorities Contacts customers & inform them of any/all irregularities Essential functions: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access invoices, office machinery, etc. Constantly operating a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a computer, calculator, copier, and printer. Work Environment: Office Setting - Working with others Occasionally work in extremely bright or dim lighting conditions.

Requirements

  • Education: GED/High School desired
  • Experience
  • Shift hours: Monday to Sunday 6 AM to 2:30 PM 2 PM to 10:30 PM
  • Need to be flexible to work different shifts and days.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access invoices, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operating a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a computer, calculator, copier, and printer.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States for any company without sponsorship.

Responsibilities
