We are seeking an experienced and motivated Implementation Project Manager to join our team and support successful client implementations. The Implementation Project Manager is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of client implementations—from initial discovery and project kickoff through configuration, testing, and handoff to ongoing delivery teams. This role ensures implementation success by managing timelines, coordinating workstreams, guiding clients through key decisions, and partnering closely with cross-functional teams. You will serve as a primary project contact, helping to ensure a high-quality, on-time, and accurate implementation experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field
  • 3+ years of project management or implementation experience, preferably within benefits, HR technology, SaaS, or related environments
  • Working knowledge of benefits administration processes and/or implementation methodologies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and data analysis) and other MS Office tools
  • High attention to detail, reliability, and accountability

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management certification (PMP, CAPM, Agile, etc.)
  • Experience with benefits administration platforms, HRIS systems, or SaaS implementations
  • Experience working on cross-functional or technical project teams
  • Smartsheet experience

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end implementation projects, ensuring successful execution across all phases of the lifecycle.
  • Facilitate key project sessions including discovery, kickoff, requirements gathering, testing planning, and status meetings.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain project plans, timelines, and documentation.
  • Track project progress against defined milestones and contractual service levels, escalating concerns as appropriate.
  • Provide regular status updates to internal partners and clients.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the implementation process.
  • Support client expectation management by clearly communicating timelines, risks, scope, and required decisions.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients, brokers, and internal stakeholders through clear communication and responsiveness.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams—including configuration, technical, compliance, and service delivery—to support timely and accurate deliverables.
  • Identify and communicate project risks, dependencies, and potential roadblocks.
  • Partner with leadership and project stakeholders to support issue resolution and escalation when needed.
  • Monitor interdependencies across workstreams and proactively address items that could impact timelines or quality.
