The COACH - Community and Opportunities at Children's Hospital - internship program mission is to create a pathway for emerging healthcare professionals, offering hands-on experience, structured development, and dedicated mentorship. The opportunity The College COACH summer internship is a paid program running from Monday, June 8-Friday, August 14, 2026 . In addition to on-the-job training and work experience, the program includes workshops and additional development programs. College students will work 35 hours/week. Interns will earn $17.50-$21.50/hour. This role is hybrid, some work in Boston and Waltham . Specific work hours will be determined by the supervisor. What you'll do Analyze appointment lengths by collecting and evaluating data to improve scheduling workflows Assist in launching new workflows, create dashboards, and support operational needs on the clinic floors Attend a 2-day program orientation and onboarding Participate in virtual and in-person workshops and activities What you'll get Skills in project management, data analysis, and workflow optimization Learn how to collect and interpret operational data, develop dashboards for financial and staffing analysis, and apply findings to improve clinical processes Develop job-ready skills for the healthcare industry Increase knowledge of healthcare career pathways Professional development Opportunity to present your learnings at the end of the program Peer cohort and cohort mentor to support learning and development MBTA Link pass for June-August 2026 Who you are You are an undergraduate college student in good academic standing and will be enrolled in a two-or four-year program for Fall 2026, and you are interested in working in healthcare You have: Strong analytical and organizational skills Basic proficiency in Excel or other data analysis platforms (familiarity with Epic is a plus but not required) Effective communication and problem-solving skills Ability to manage projects independently A proactive attitude and willingness to learn Recruitment process Internship opportunities: We encourage students to review the posted COACH internship opportunities and to apply to no more than three postings. Requirements
