The Associate Director of Impact Communications seeks to advance GoodPower’s work to accelerate a renewable energy economy by ensuring that we are effectively communicating our wins to our network, funders, partners and the media. The Associate Director translates our work into compelling stories, data and proof points that deepens funder trust, attracts new resources and projects, and amplifies GoodPower’s influence in the field. The Associate Director spearheads communications across various audiences including the GoodPower Board, climate and political funders, renewable energy developers, and electeds as well as manages the CEO’s thought leadership to build a sphere of influence that continuously builds upon itself. This role tailors strategies and messages for each audience to advance GoodPower’s mission and goals, across reports, newsletters, white papers and social media and digital advertising. This role requires the ability to tailor impact narratives appropriately across organizational entities and audiences, translating complex, multi-cycle work into clear and credible communications. This is a full time, remote position based anywhere in the United States. The Associate Director will work from home, meet regularly by video chat with GoodPower team members and conduct activities both online and in-person. The Associate Director must be available for regular travel within the United States to participate in conferences, select actions, events, and to attend staff retreats. This position reports to the Communications Director.
