About The Position

An Immunization Registry Coordinator implements and maintains an Immunization Registry for Baltimore City. Work of this class involves no supervisory duties. Incumbents receive general supervision from a technical superior. Employees in this class work a conventional work week. Work is performed in offices where there is minimal exposure to environmental hazards. Work requires minimal physical exertion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Three years of experience in community health database management and information networking.
  • Knowledge of information sciences in both personal computing and network (LAN, WAN) environments including system architecture and development, telecommunication linked connectivity, operating systems, rudimentary programming, PC and Network maintenance and repair, training, software troubleshooting, and other service support activities.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices involved in relational database design, implementation and evaluation.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of the biomedical sciences and public health, especially as they relate to the control of childhood communicable diseases.
  • Ability to understand and resolve technical and administrative problems and constraints involved in administering information networks across public and private sector health service organizations.
  • Ability to apply statistical methodology in the demographic and epidemiological analysis of collected data.
