About The Position

Imani Village, through the Imani Green Health Advocate Internship, is seeking an early career professional to serve as a Mentor and lead a cohort of interns throughout the program. This role is designed for an emerging leader who is eager to apply their experience while strengthening their leadership, program development, and facilitation skills. As a Mentor, you will play a critical role in shaping the intern experience by contributing to  curriculum development, guiding day-to-day activities, and fostering a supportive and  engaging learning environment. You will work closely with the Program Coordinator and  Mission Coordinator, gaining valuable mentorship while expanding your professional  network across community stakeholders, nonprofit organizations, and industry  professionals. This position offers a unique opportunity to build meaningful connections, gain exposure to  diverse sectors, and earn industry-recognized certifications. Mentors are encouraged to  bring creativity and innovation to the program while exploring their own career interests and  professional narrative. This temporary position also provides opportunities to represent the program and share  your work with a broad audience, including community residents, partner organizations,  and institutional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate programmatic correspondence and maintain clear communication across teams
  • Supervise, support, and manage interns throughout the program
  • Coordinate and communicate with community stakeholders and partners
  • Conduct routine check-ins with the Program Coordinator and Mission Coordinator
  • Assist in curriculum planning, scheduling, and program implementation
  • Monitor intern progress and provide constructive feedback and mentorship
  • Support event coordination, workshops, and community engagement activities
