About The Position

MedStar Health is looking for an Imaging Team Lead - Ultrasound to join our team at MedStar Franklin Square Hospital Center. This position is full-time, varied hours, 4 -9hr shifts. This position will assist in the supervision and direction of the daily activities for the Imaging Department. Performs diagnostic procedures within assigned/credentialed modality.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent required
1-2 years technologist experience within assigned/credentialed modality.
ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) required
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies procedures quality standards and safety standards.
Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.
Acquires ordered images including evaluating these images for technical quality.
Sends images to appropriate destinations for interpretation.
Coordinates the daily activities of staff consistent with workload requirements and available personnel.
Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work areas.
Reports any unsafe or potentially unsafe conditions.
Maintains diagnostic and other equipment in efficient operating order; performs regularly scheduled quality control.

Obtains patient history answers patient questions and explains procedures.
