The imaging technician student is involved in a variety of technical procedures to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for and/or performing ultrasound examinations for diagnosis of patients. This role requires travel to other Velocity Care locations. The student will apply knowledge of growth and development to appropriately care for all patients served. Under direct supervision of a registered technologist, the student operates highly specialized, technical equipment to obtain quality radiographs. Duties also include processing patients, which may involve scheduling, registration, file management, and computer processing skills. The student is expected to evaluate and position patients with a high degree of professional ethics, care, courtesy, patience, and safety.
