If you want to be part of tomorrow’s health today, we want to hear from you. The Imaging Specialist role supports Diagnostic Imaging Services in the US Oncology Network. This position will function as a subject matter expert on clinical and departmental workflows, best practices, configuration, and integration. This position is responsible for supporting the Director of Imaging through benchmarking, data collection, analysis, and the creation of communication tools. The Imaging Specialist position will work closely to support the Radiation and Imaging Regional Directors to manage imaging projects in their regions.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in Imaging clinical operations and workflows, (For example: CT Tech, Nuclear Medicine Tech)
  • In-depth knowledge of Diagnostic Imaging clinical processes
  • Proficiency in Imaging specific clinical systems
  • Ability to balance clinical, operational, and business priorities
  • Advanced skills in using Microsoft applications to present and manipulate data
  • Strong time and project management capabilities
  • Ability to communicate with a variety of audiences.
  • Must be able to work independently and collaboratively with minimum supervision.
  • Demonstrated capacity to effectively manage ambiguity
  • Adaptability and relationship-building with leaders, staff, and physicians
  • Exercises sound knowledge and good judgment
  • Sound judgment, accountability, and results orientation
  • Willingness to travel as needed; roughly 25 - 50%

Responsibilities

  • Assess and analyze clinic imaging workflows, identify operational inefficiencies and barriers, and develop actionable recommendations to optimize processes, enhance patient access, and improve clinical and financial outcomes across the network
  • Develop, organize, and communicate high-quality content for presentations and reports by synthesizing complex information, tailoring messaging to diverse audiences, and ensuring timely dissemination to support strategic decision-making and stakeholder engagement
  • Continuously monitor, analyze, and communicate national trends in imaging—including technological advancements, regulatory changes, market dynamics, and evolving clinical practices—to inform strategic decision-making, drive innovation, and ensure the organization remains competitive and compliant within the rapidly changing healthcare landscape
  • Collaborate closely with R&I Regional Directors to support imaging initiatives by facilitating communication, coordinating project activities, sharing best practices, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and operational standards across practices
