The Imaging Specialist/Technician digitizes, enhances, and manages digital image files to support preservation, archival, and operational requirements. This role applies technical expertise to ensure image quality, maintain workflow documentation, and develop procedures for image processing and storage. The position provides specialized solutions to complex imaging challenges within established standards and technical frameworks. Requirements

  • Approximately four (4) years of experience in digital imaging, imaging technology, or related technical field.
  • Experience using imaging hardware and software tools for image enhancement and manipulation.
  • Knowledge of digital storage systems and media management practices.
  • Experience performing quality assurance on digital assets.
  • Ability to develop technical procedures for imaging software execution.
  • Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Related industry certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Digitize images into databases for preservation, archival, and enhancement purposes.
  • Use imaging hardware and software to adjust color, resolution, and overall image quality.
  • Perform quality assurance on digitized images to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
  • Store and manage digital image files across various digital media platforms.
  • Maintain records documenting workflow, image creation, and file storage processes.
  • Develop procedures for programming and execution of imaging software applications.
  • Provide technical solutions to complex imaging and digital manipulation challenges.
  • Conduct analyses, studies, and prepare reports related to imaging processes and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards for digital image preservation and storage.
  • Support troubleshooting and optimization of imaging systems and workflows.
