This is a part time hybrid position working 20 hours a week. Position Overview The Imaging Specialist III supports key aspects of the imaging workflow within MMI’s core lab operations. This includes development and delivery of imaging-related site training materials, QA of incoming imaging, resolution of technical discrepancies with site staff, pre-reads and pre-analyses of imaging (where applicable). The Imaging Specialist III provides technical support and applies his/her clinical knowledge of medical imaging to ensure the scientific integrity, quality, and efficiency of departmental processes and procedures as well as overall conduct of trial-related tasks at MMI. This role will interact with other MMI departments, as needed, for successful design, management and execution of imaging services for clinical trials and other medical imaging needs of MMI’s clients and partners. Duties and Responsibilities Image Quality & Review Inspect medical images across projects, encompassing many combinations of anatomy and imaging modality (including but not limited to X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and Angiography) Identify deviations in incoming medical images from prescribed image acquisition protocols Identify and document image quality issues in received imaging such as poor contrast, noise, incorrect patient positioning, insufficient coverage, and image artifacts, and recommend corrective actions Conduct image analysis as needed and assist with implementing efficient workflows across image-handling functions Technical & Scientific Support Assist Operations staff with scientific and technical consulting activities Train and assist other Imaging Specialists Provide internal subject matter expertise related to image quality and acquisition methodology Author and update Image Quality Assurance (QA) documents such as Image Quality Evaluation (IQE) checklists, and work instructions Develop site-, sponsor-, and consultant-facing project materials (e.g., site training, guidance for site coordinators, and imaging technologists) Reinforce site- and customer-relationships through responsiveness, creative thinking, active communication, and high-quality technical support General Understand the Medical Metrics Quality Policy and support the achievement of the organization’s quality objectives; take corrective action when necessary to mitigate organizational risk Support internal initiatives aimed at quality improvement; suggest and implement relevant process improvements Comply with company policies and procedures, ISO 9001, and Current Good Clinical Practices (cGCPs) relative to job tasks Perform any other duties, as directed by supervisor Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures
