Summary: The Imaging Services Coordinator would manage patient appointments, perform outreach, and confirmation of scheduled exams. Requirements

  • HS Graduate or Equivalent
  • Minimum Experience: zero to six months

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working hands-on with patients in a Radiology setting.

Responsibilities

  • Proficient in scheduling systems: Soarian Financials and Cerner Powerchart for patient imaging exam scheduling.
  • Performs accurate search/selection of patient within hospital system using Patient Identification procedure.
  • Accurately establishes and schedules appointments for Imaging services for patients following the designated protocols of the scheduling systems and clinical EMRs.
  • Obtains patient signature on Authorization of Release of Medical Record forms for the purpose of obtaining prior imaging from non-Nuvance facilities.
  • Works closely with Breast Imaging Supervisor on all breast imaging schedules and reporting.
  • Performs outreach for screening mammography patients on Teams list.
  • Performs confirmation calls for all modalities and provides necessary prep/instruction.
  • Educates patients on the importance of yearly mammograms.
  • Uploads outside imaging and reports to Cerner and PACS.
  • Assists with Magview letters and reporting.
  • Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
  • Merge patient names in Hologic/PACs systems.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
