About The Position

Position Summary: The Imaging Educator is responsible for the oversight, organization and management of onboarding all new technologists, to include regular staff, travelers and students, into the Bozeman Health organization for all imaging modalities in collaboration with modality supervisors. In this role, the Educator will maintain well organized documentation for each staff member to represent departmental orientation, competencies and professional development. Responsibilities will include participation in and collaboration with educational programs with whom Bozeman Health has affiliate agreements, which may require travel. The Educator will be expected to maintain their own competency in basic radiographic techniques in order to support department operations for patient care as may be needed.

Requirements

  • Required Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited Radiology Program.
  • Associates degree in Allied Health or related field.
  • Montana Licensure (Radiology Technologist).
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) or ability to obtain within three (3) months of hire.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in diagnostic imaging services.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment, patience, and maintains a professional demeanor at all times
  • Exercises tact, discretion, sensitivity, and maintains confidentiality
  • Performs essential job functions successfully in a busy and stressful environment
  • Learns current and new computer applications and office equipment utilized at Bozeman Health
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Analyzes, organizes, and prioritizes work while meeting multiple deadlines
  • This role requires regular and sustained attendance.
  • The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
  • On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Allied Health or related field.
  • Previous experience as a student coordinator or clinical instructor for imaging services.

Responsibilities

  • Work with individual modality supervisors to standardize department orientation and onboarding processes, to include SysAid for access, Epic training, dosimeter ordering, staff introductions, etc.
  • Establish cross training templates to be used for each modality to support comprehensive and efficient training with well defined timeframes and expectations for trainees in collaboration with modality supervisors.
  • Develop feedback and peer review templates/tools to be used universally in all modalities for trainees and new staff members.
  • Establish working relationships with existing educational program leaders and affiliates.
  • Directly responsible for student coordination and governance in coordination with department team leads and supervisors.
