Assist director in maintaining radiologic services in accordance with hospital, state, and local standards. Schedule, supervise and discipline department assigned personnel with assistance of the director. Prepare work schedule for technologists and other personnel to ensure adequate staffing of all departments and surgical procedures. In addition, evaluate staffing levels and adjust daily as needed. Participate in patient care procedures as needed and oversee that all work is completed prior to end of shift. Prepare reports and statistical documentation to monitor and maintain standard of care. Recognize need for control/assessment of pain and falls for patients and help to prevent or reduce patient pain levels/falls when possible. Responsible for reporting occurrences of errors and action taken to improve. Maintain a flexible schedule. Work additional hours/shifts in situations of high census, adverse weather and absences or vacancies as needed. Perform all other related duties as assigned or requested. Assist director/manager with completion of evaluations, competencies, various reports and surveys. Perform routine system maintenance and calibrations to ensure equipment is running properly. Order supplies and complete P.O. orders to ensure adequate supplies needed to perform duties available. Inform director of any unusual concern, situation or condition relative to staff, patients or physicians and make suggestions for ways to improve operating methods/procedures. Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences. Uphold and promote patient safety and quality.
