About The Position

Join the dynamic Radiology Team at Parkland Health Center as a Temporary Imaging Assistant (Transporter). This role involves performing routine duties in the daily operation of Radiology Services, including patient transportation, radiographic film development and copying, stocking supplies, and clerical duties. Parkland Health Center, part of BJC HealthCare, offers world-class medicine with deep local roots, operating a full-service acute care hospital in Farmington and a rural emergency hospital in Bonne Terre, Missouri. The center provides primary and secondary level inpatient and outpatient services, including a wide variety of outpatient services like oncology, infusion, wound care, and the Huckstep Heart and Lung Center. Radiology services specifically offer CTScan and fluoroscopic services on an outpatient basis. This is a temporary, PRN schedule position, Monday through Friday, from 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and is non-benefit eligible.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• No Experience
• No Supervisor Experience

Responsibilities

• Schedules procedures, maintains medical record information, obtains prescriptions when necessary.
• Escorts or transports patients to and from examination area, assists technologist with patient transfers to and from imaging tables, and assists patient as needed.
• Maintains and ensures availability of supplies and equipment.
• Follows up when necessary with outside films and calls in results.
