Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent plus additional specialized courses or training
  • Computer skills, including knowledge of both hospital departmental computer systems
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology
  • Knowledge of office equipment
  • Basic knowledge of patient care equipment
  • CPR certification required within 3 months
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care including patient transport
  • Obtain medical histories
  • Prepare patients for exams
  • Assist patients on and off the imaging table
  • Perform modality-specific duties as assigned
  • Assist with patient exams
  • Explain any delays in procedures
  • Process requisitions/paperwork
  • Review schedules
  • Assist with retrieval of outside images
  • Control inventory
  • Maintain adequate levels of supplies
  • Assist with special projects as assigned such as Quality Assurance, Education, etc.
