About The Position

Upload images into PACS. Prepare radiology images for review and interpretation by providers. Provide customer service for image requests. Respond and enter help desk tickets for Radiology Help Desk.Job Description:Essential Duties and Responsibilities including but not limited to:Retrieves, imports, and monitors exams on approved electronic image sharing platforms.Serves as resource and point of contact for image sharing-related questions and outside image requests; collaborates with Radiologists, Technologists, and IT/IS teams to ensure timely access.Maintains CD burners and reports technical issues as needed.Processes and transfers imaging studies to outside facilities via electronic platforms or CDs/DVDs; troubleshoots related issues.Responds to requests for radiology records via telephone, written correspondence, or other approved channels.Grants access to images and reconciles imaging for OR, CCU, and Anesthesia cases.Communicates urgent and non-critical findings as appropriate.Utilizes hospital-approved systems (e.g., EMR, PACS, or equivalent) to obtain and document information.Adheres to hospital and departmental policies; maintains effective interactions with colleagues and patients.Participates in quality improvement activities and completes required training/education.Performs other duties as assigned to meet departmental needs.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Licensure, Certification, Registration: None required.
  • Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Excellent customer service skills.
  • Typing and basic computer skills needed.
  • Experience: None required
