Requirements

Proficiency in ice skating required
Professional, warm, and welcoming demeanor
Previous customer service skills and the ability to foster positive interactions with the public at all times complemented by strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to stay calm in stressful situations
This is a part-time, year-round position that requires flexible availability Monday through Sunday, days, evenings, overnight and weekends

Nice To Haves

First Aid, CPR, Emergency Response Trainings preferred
Experience working in an Ice Arena or related recreation facility an asset
Experience operating a Forklift and able to lift/carry up to/over 50lbs

Responsibilities

Greeting our guests within a professional, welcoming, and friendly manner
Providing our guests with detailed instructions on the safe use of the Ice Rink
Ensuring Rink And surrounding area, floors, and high touch surfaces and cleaned and sanitized
Assist in rink conversions, retrieving, installing, and tearing down the special decking and carpeting used for special events
Act as a guest experience representative during specialty events
Ensuring proper skate and helmet rentals are processed and collected at the end of use
Processing all admission transactions accurately by cash, credit card or automatic debit
Dealing calmly and efficiently with stressful situations relating to guests
Utilizing strong customer service skills while adhering to all specified safety regulations at all time
Act as representative for the distribution, collection, and sanitization of skate aids
Operating electric skate sharpening machine (SPARX) to maintain skate rental sharpness
Operating scoreboard controller for hockey games and practices
Serve as Locker Room Attendant for hockey or special events
First responder to injury or incident during Public Skating sessions
Training on First Aid, CPR, Emergency Protocols and bodily fluid clean-up
Complete all assigned tasks within the guidelines and deadlines set forth by Rink Leadership
Other responsibilities as required
