Key Objective(s): The main purpose of the Ice Rink Attendant I is: Responsible for providing our guests a fun and enjoyable skating experience while ensuring their continual safety and security on the attraction.
Requirements
- Professional, warm, and welcoming demeanor
- Perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another, without the loss of efficiency or composure
- Willingness to learn through on the job training as well as formal orientations
- Ability to memorize, recollect, retrieve, and recite relevant information
- Reliable, punctual, and regular in attendance with good communication skills
- Previous customer service skills and the ability to foster positive interactions with the public at all times complemented by strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to stay calm in stressful situations
- This is a part-time position that requires flexible availability Monday through Sunday, days, evenings, overnight and weekends
Nice To Haves
- Proficiency in ice skating preferred
- Experience working in an Ice Arena or related recreation facility an asset
Responsibilities
- Greeting our guests within a professional, welcoming, and friendly manner
- Providing our guests with detailed instructions on the safe use of the Ice Rink
- Ensuring Rink and surrounding area, floors, and high touch surfaces are cleaned and sanitized
- Assist in rink conversions, retrieving, installing, and tearing down the special decking, flooring, staging, and carpeting used for special events
- Act as a guest experience representative during specialty events
- Ensuring proper skate and helmet rentals are distributed, sanitized, processed, and collected at the end of use
- Communicating all policies and procedures to patrons, both on and off the ice
- Processing all admission transactions accurately by cash, credit card or automatic debit
- Dealing calmly and efficiently with stressful situations relating to guests
- Utilizing strong customer service skills while adhering to all specified safety regulations at all time
- Complete all assigned tasks within the guidelines and deadlines set forth by Rink Leadership
- Other responsibilities as required
