Position Summary Administers hyperbaric oxygen therapy to patients as prescribed by Wound Healing Center's physician. Why Join us? Monday-Friday. 8 AM-5PM - No nights, no weekends! Location: Orlando, FL Shift: Full-time Days/No weekends Responsibilities • Operates and maintains the hyperbaric chambers and associated systems and equipment. • Oversees full compliance with safety regulations according to the codes and standards of the National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA) and the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Association (UHMS). • Ensures all safety requirements are met daily. • Assists in the delivery of patient care appropriate to the level of his/her medical training. • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients. • Participates in basic wound care, including measurements, assessment and evaluation, wound care product selection, and documentation. • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Qualifications Education/Training • High school diploma or equivalent is required. • Training in one of the following: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Respiratory Therapist, Registered Nurse, Emergency Medical Technologist or Paramedic. • Assumes responsibility for professional development and continuing education as appropriate. Licensure/Certification • Maintains one of the following: • Current Florida Certified Nursing Assistant certification. • Current nursing license in the State of Florida. • Current license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the State of Florida Department of Health. • Current State of Florida RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license. • Current Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) license or Paramedic (PMD) license in the State of Florida • Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification. • Must obtain certification as a Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) from the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology (NBDHMT) within one (1) year of employment. Experience Two (2) years patient care experience. Education/Training • High school diploma or equivalent is required. • Training in one of the following: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Respiratory Therapist, Registered Nurse, Emergency Medical Technologist or Paramedic. • Assumes responsibility for professional development and continuing education as appropriate.
