About The Position

The HYDRUS Shop Team Lead will be a highly motivated and experienced individual. This individual will oversee HYDRUS Shop production operations while maintaining safety standards. They are responsible for keeping up with current and future orders, ensuring orders are being processed in a timely manner, and will ensure sufficient component stock levels to keep up with manufacturing needs. They will serve as a mentor/coach to other team members while on the assembly line and will assist with daily production operations. The Team Leader will address any questions or concerns related to assembly processes and will communicate production priorities to the team. The incumbent will also be a vital part of ensuring safe work practices are followed at all times while ensuring the highest quality standards are met. This individual should possess a multitude of skills including soldering, mechanical knowledge, electrical assembly, leadership skills, troubleshooting, and understanding of wiring schematics.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and accurately follow production blueprints, technical manuals and instructions
  • Experience using hand tools in a professional environment
  • Experience performing mathematical calculations in preparing products or setting up electrical equipment
  • Ability to accurately use a tape measure and calculator
  • Proven ability to work as a team leader and assist team members in a positive fashion
  • Ability to work up to 10 hours of overtime per week when required by business needs
  • Experience working with Lean Manufacturing methodology
  • Electrical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot control panels
  • Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
  • Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy while working in a fast-paced environment with multiple distractions
  • Ability to bend and pivot as well as lift, push and pull objects weighing 25 pounds throughout the shift

Responsibilities

  • Promote safe work practices
  • Maintain production levels
  • Maintain production entries on a daily basis
  • Assist/train/coach other team members while on the assembly line
  • Accurately follow production blueprints, technical manuals and instructions
  • Troubleshoot and repair Control Panel and Tower Boxes’
  • Implement processes to improve production efficiency
  • Operate various types of hand tools including saws and wire terminating machines
  • Maintain UL label Documentation
  • Visually inspect and repair damaged components
  • Participate in lean improvements and other team projects
