About The Position

AECOM is actively seeking a highly-motivated Hydrogeologist for employment in the Mechanicsburg, Conshohocken, or Philadelphia, PA offices. AECOM is searching for candidates that are role models, client-focused, impactful, and decisive. Hydrogeologist position will be primarily responsible for supporting remedial investigation work for our Federal government clients. The successful candidate will have at a minimum a BS in Geology or Hydrogeology with significant coursework and/or practical experience in geologic/hydrogeologic data evaluation. Candidate must also be able to work as part of a project team comprised of AECOM staff and subcontractors. Flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse projects, a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to workplace health and safety are imperative. This position requires excellent skills in written and spoken communication, organization, time management, and an individual who thrives in a team-oriented environment. Coursework and/or experience involving geology/hydrogeology and in the preparation of detailed geologic/hydrogeologic conceptual site models (CSMs) is desirable. Duties may include compiling and evaluating site-related geological, geophysical, hydrogeologic and environmental data; working with a team to utilize the available data to develop a detailed geologic/hydrogeologic CSM; and summarizing the CSM in detailed technical reports. Qualified candidates must be comfortable with periodic field work to conduct site visits.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in hydrogeology or relevant geological science discipline and 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of project requirements
  • Valid Driver's License

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in hydrogeology or other related discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in environmental consulting or similar industry
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to demonstrate professional demeanor in written and verbal communications with clients, regulatory officials, and fellow employees.
  • Ability to write and to convey complex thoughts and ideas in a clear, concise manner.
  • Ability to learn through on-the-job experience.
  • OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER Certification or ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire.
  • Ability to travel for field site visits and/or meetings.
