About The Position

Horizon Environmental is a growing environmental services company specializing in industrial cleaning, hydro blasting, emergency response, and waste handling. We’re a tight-knit team of about 50 employees, and we’re on the come up - building something strong and looking for dependable, hardworking individuals who want to grow with us long-term. Position Summary The Hydro Blasting Technician is responsible for supporting industrial cleaning operations at various customer sites. This includes operating high-pressure, industrial grade water blasting equipment, performing tank cleaning, and assisting with emergency response services. Note: When hydro blasting work is not available, technicians will be utilized on tank cleaning and other industrial cleaning projects, so versatility is key.

Requirements

  • Experience in hydro blasting, tank cleaning, or industrial services required
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work (lifting, climbing, confined spaces)
  • Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
  • Ability to understand and follow safety instructions in English
  • Must have a TWIC Card
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends
  • Must pass background check, drug screening, and physical exam (per company policy)
  • Must complete required safety training and on-the-job training

Nice To Haves

  • Mechanical skills and troubleshooting skills are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Operate manual and automated hydro blasting equipment (10K, 20K, 40K PSI) safely and efficiently
  • Perform tank cleaning, pressure washing, and industrial cleaning services
  • Assist with vacuum truck operations and material handling
  • Support emergency response jobs, including on-call situations
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on equipment
  • Ensure all work meets company and client safety standards
  • Work at multiple job sites and maintain professional client interactions
  • Follow all safety procedures, including confined space entry and PPE requirements
  • Read and interpret instructions (written, verbal, or visual)
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
