STV, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a Hydraulics Project Manager within our Transportation Group in Raleigh, NC. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Will function as Discipline Lead or Project Manager on small to large projects, responsible for the work of the technical group. Plan, direct, and supervise the work of a design team requiring a large-scale organization of manpower and financial accountability. Leads other engineers and design personnel in technical excellence and growth Provides technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses. Ensures compliance of design with all applicable codes and regulations, providing the seal and signature of the professional engineer when required by statute or contract. Prepares material/equipment technical specifications. Coordinate subconsultant work as necessary. Maintains affiliation with professional societies to keep abreast of current technologies. Help determine budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule. May assist with other administrative and technical duties. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Extensive Hydrologic and Hydraulic Design experience on transportation Projects in the Carolinas, specifically for NCDOT and local municipalities. Experience successfully serving as a Discipline Lead or Project Manager on Projects of varying size and complexity. Experience acting as a client liaison Proven track record of delivering Drainage designs for municipalities & DOT’s throughout North Carolina and/or SE region. Strong leadership skills. PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Accredited degree in Civil Engineering, Masters is a plus but not required. Minimum of 10-15+ years of related work experience. PE License Required. SKILLS/COMPETENCIES: Excellent written and oral communications skills Experience in supervising and hiring staff. Must be able to drive a car and have own transportation. Lead small to large Civil projects. Support client relations management activities.
