As we continue to expand, we’re looking for a skilled Hydraulic Technician to help keep our production operations running at peak performance.

Requirements

  • Technical degree or 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience, including extensive work with open and closed loop hydraulic systems.
  • Experience rebuilding hydraulic motors, valves, and cylinders, plus proficiency with hand and power tools (must have own tools).
  • Ability to read hydraulic schematics, perform precision measurements, and apply math skills including fractions, algebra, and geometry.
  • Strong problem‑solving ability, adaptability in a fast-paced environment, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
  • Solid communication skills and basic computer/data entry proficiency.

Nice To Haves

  • Welding experience (MIG, TIG, arc), plasma cutting, and oxy‑acetylene torch skills strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain extrusion press and fabrication equipment with a focus on hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Perform emergency repairs during production and complete scheduled maintenance during downtime.
  • Execute welding (arc, MIG, TIG), plasma cutting, machining, and pipefitting tasks as needed.
  • Install equipment, support hydraulic preventative maintenance programs, and operate specialized hydraulic tools safely.
  • Read and interpret hydraulic schematics, service manuals, and technical documents to diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, communicate equipment concerns promptly, and uphold strict Lock‑Out/Tag‑Out and PPE safety standards.
  • Maintain clean, safe, accessible work areas and follow all safety procedures.
  • Prioritize work orders while balancing unexpected breakdowns.
  • Use parts and materials efficiently and communicate supply needs.
  • Support workflow improvements and collaborate with team members to enhance operations.
  • Create and update hydraulic reference materials, drawings, and documentation (AutoCAD or paper).
  • Train others by identifying skill gaps and providing hands‑on instruction when needed.
