About The Position

As a Hydraulic Systems Design Engineer in Fargo, ND, you may: create and modify hydraulic routing designs and drawings in Creo, releasing them in Teamcenter (TC); develop and manage work orders to procure prototype samples; provide hands-on support for ag products, ensuring hydraulic systems are properly integrated; investigate, conduct root cause analysis, and resolve Product Improvement Requests (PIRs) related to build issues; contribute to Design Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (DFMEAs) to enhance system reliability; support the lead engineer to execute day-to-day responsibilities and project deliverables, and work collaboratively with suppliers and other Applied partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or Agricultural & Biosystems Engineering (BSABE) required
  • Prior experience with hydraulic systems or hydraulic routing
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (Creo) and PLM systems (Teamcenter)
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis abilities
  • Ability to support cross-functional teams during prototype builds and testing
  • Familiarity with DFMEA processes and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Capable of working independently and as a team member
  • Strong work ethic and unwavering integrity
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a learning mindset
  • Curiosity, problem solving, and analytical thinking
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Desire to work on a variety of projects
