About The Position

Yancey Bros. Co. has been the authorized Caterpillar equipment dealer for Georgia since 1914, providing high-quality sales, parts, and service for Caterpillar heavy and compact construction equipment and on-highway trucks. The company is committed to learning about its customers and offering equipment and support to meet their changing needs. As a Hydraulic Shop Technician, you will be responsible for repairing hydraulic cylinders, pumps, motors, and hoses for customers. Candidates must furnish their own tools, be able to operate industry-associated heavy equipment, and complete all assigned work in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Previous hydraulic experience required
  • Basic Technician skills

Nice To Haves

  • Course work from accredited trade school, college or university with emphasis in mechanics, hydraulics, and automotive electronics is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Teardown and inspect all components, including cylinders, pumps, motors, and hoses.
  • Disassemble and assemble hydraulic components.
  • Advise of failure and process to repair.
  • Safely work in a shop environment and follow all company safety guidelines.
  • Read and understand service materials.
  • Clean and maintain work area.
  • Work assigned overtime as needed.
  • Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner.
  • Additional duties as assigned by manager.
