About The Position

This position is to support FET Next Generation Hydraulic Fracturing Product Offerings. The position will be required to provide installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic systems and controls as needed to support Next Generation Product Offerings being constructed at the manufacturing facility and deployed to customers in the field.

Requirements

  • High level of hands-on mechanical aptitude
  • Expert level knowledge of hydraulics equipment and service
  • Must be able to read hydraulic and electrical schematics
  • Knowledge of hydraulics systems associated electronics
  • Knowledge of oil field equipment, usage and processes
  • Moderate experience with Microsoft products (Word, Excel)
  • Valid drivers license
  • High School Graduate or GED/Vocational School
  • 5-7 years mechanic experience, hydraulics experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Technical training or the equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience with hydraulic oil field service equipment such as frac operations, snubbing, coiled tubing equipment, etc... would be considered a plus

Responsibilities

  • Must understand and comply with all company safety rules and regulations
  • Must be willing to travel. (~90% Travel)
  • Support field operations of equipment
  • Able to identify, evaluate, install and repair related gas and oil hydraulics equipment
  • Able to complete all documentation as required
  • Self-Starter, works with minimal supervision
  • Capable of performing on the job training of equipment
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic systems and components
  • Diagnose problems, prepare estimates for repairs
  • Repair hydraulic pumps, motors, circuits, valves, cylinders and related hydraulics electronic equipment.
  • Tear down equipment, troubleshoot for repair, identify parts needed for repair and complete all necessary repairs in shop environment and in the field as required.
  • Build new hydraulic equipment, pumps, system assemblies, valves, cylinders etc...
  • Test completed new build equipment and/or repaired equipment according to written procedures.
  • Clean, lubricate and adjust parts, equipment and machinery.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly shop and service vehicle, record parts and materials needed and request new parts and materials as necessary.
  • Test and calibrate equipment.
  • Provide service to customers by answering emergency service calls.
  • Support on field service testing & operational efforts.
  • Repair and install new systems and equipment in the field and shop environments.
  • Work assignments carried out to highest quality level and safety
  • Perform various other duties assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job
  • Acts as subject matter expert of hydraulics and electric equipment and controls installation, service and repair.
  • Keep management apprised of work and backlog
  • Able to work at customer site in accordance with their work rules
  • Maintain proper inventory on service vehicle
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
  • Must be able to effectively communicate and execute tasks and project efforts with guidance from Engineering department.
  • Must be able to document detailed product testing performance data during operation to aid in product development.
  • Must be able to independently operate equipment following FET supplied training
  • Must be able to independently lead on site testing support, communication with customers & offsite FET personnel.
