About The Position

We are currently seeking an experienced Hydraulic Shop Technician to join the growing team at our Field Tech Services - Muncy, PA location. If you are looking for a unique experience working for an industry leading dealership and rental organization, we want to speak with you! Our shop mechanics play a vital role in the dealer/customer relationship, ranging from equipment prep/set-up to advanced diagnostic and repair. Ongoing training is provided for all technicians through our mentorship program as well as OEM online and factory training. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with hydraulic cylinders, pumps, motors, valves, and hoses, and be capable of performing precision work with a strong attention to detail. Job Overview: Inspect, diagnose, and repair hydraulic components including cylinders, pumps, motors, valves, and hoses. Diagnose, repair, and maintain asphalt road building equipment such as planers, shuttle buggies and screeds. Disassemble and reassemble hydraulic systems and components with precision and care. Operate lathes, mills, grinders, and other shop equipment to fabricate or refurbish parts. Perform pressure testing and troubleshooting of hydraulic systems. Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all repairs and maintenance. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient service delivery. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Assist with inventory management and ordering of parts and supplies. Provide technical support and guidance to customers when needed. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in hydraulics preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in hydraulic repair or a related mechanical field.
  • Proficiency in reading hydraulic schematics and technical manuals.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate shop tools and machinery safely and effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
