About The Position

We’re seeking a mechanically inclined Hydraulic Assembler I to build machines, equipment, and sub‑assemblies by following prints, schematics, and verbal instructions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, understands hydraulic systems, and takes pride in building quality equipment in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to read basic instructions, prints, and numbers
  • Comfortable performing basic math and measurements (feet and inches)
  • Ability to follow simple, step-by-step assembly instructions
  • Experience with hand tools and air-powered tools
  • Ability to safely operate a hoist (or willingness to be trained)
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 10 hours per day)
  • Frequent lifting and moving of materials up to 50 lbs
  • Regular use of hands for handling, assembling, and reaching
  • Occasional bending, kneeling, and crouching
  • Work in a loud manufacturing environment (hearing protection required)
  • Exposure to industrial materials such as hydraulic fluid, gas, diesel fuel, and cleaners
  • Vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on mechanical experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of hydraulic systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assemble machines and sub‑assemblies according to prints, work instructions, and specifications
  • Install and align components using bolts, screws, and fasteners
  • Drill, tap, and ream holes to ensure a precise fit and finish
  • Install moving components (shafts, levers, bearings) and test for proper movement
  • Assemble drive motors and prepare steering and pitch cylinders
  • Install blades, thrust collars, stabilizer rings, and bottom-end assemblies
  • Prepare frames, belly pans, blind nuts, and heat exchangers
  • Number, route, and install hydraulic hoses
  • Install fittings, hydraulic oil filters, and water/retardant hoses as required for specific models
  • Read and interpret mechanical prints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics
  • Read and follow hydraulic schematics and approved installation processes
  • Safely operate band saws, scissor lift tables, and hoists as required
  • Handle machinery and components with care and attention to detail
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Follow standard assembly procedures and quality guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
