About The Position

The Assembler I position is an entry-level manufacturing role responsible for accurately and efficiently assembling and producing job orders to meet operational standards and customer delivery schedules. The ideal candidate will work diligently to ensure high-quality production of electrical systems and LED lighting products, adhering to company procedures, and promoting a safe, productive, and team-oriented environment. This role is fundamental to supporting the production of LED lighting solutions used in Marine, RV, automotive, and office furniture industries.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to stand and work on your feet for 8-10 hours per shift.
  • Ability to lift, move, or carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity for repetitive hand and finger movements required for assembly work.
  • Visual acuity for close-up assembly tasks, including small-part handling and color identification.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, or reach as necessary during assembly, packaging, or inventory tasks.
  • Maintain the stamina to handle physical demands in a fast-paced production environment.
  • A strong work ethic with a commitment to meeting production goals and deadlines.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately follow instructions and procedures.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with consistency and focus.
  • Basic understanding of quality control and testing methods.
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems and data entry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills to foster positive collaboration.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and contribute to problem-solving and conflict resolution.
  • Capability to identify and differentiate colors accurately (critical for electrical assembly tasks).
  • Willingness to be cross-trained across multiple production areas and adapt to new responsibilities as needed.
  • Reliable attendance and time management skills with dependable transportation to work.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in assembly, manufacturing, or production is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electrical components and systems for LED lighting products in compliance with work orders, specifications, and standard operating procedures to achieve 100% on-time job completion.
  • Measure amounts of products, lengths of extruded articles, or weights of filled containers to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Follow job material handling processes, including proper labeling, packaging, and warehouse storage of completed products using FIFO (First In, First Out) methodology.
  • Examine and test components or products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Report material shortages, product defects, or performance issues to the Work Cell Coordinator or Production Supervisor.
  • Complete all material transactions associated with job orders promptly and accurately to ensure inventory integrity.
  • Maintain an organized and clean workspace to foster a productive workflow.
  • Adhere to company and departmental safety policies, immediately reporting hazards or unsafe practices.
  • Participate in cross-training opportunities to operate in multiple work cells, expanding knowledge and versatility in areas such as electrical terminal connections, quality checks, packaging, and final product assembly.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements.
  • Track and record production data, including quantities, quality metrics, and job completion details.
  • Exhibit professionalism, ethics, and teamwork to support a positive and collaborative workplace.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory system records by monitoring and reporting missing, mislabeled, or misplaced inventory items.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth production workflows and processes.
  • Support other employees in completing tasks by sharing knowledge and working cooperatively.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe environment by participating in safety committee initiatives (where applicable).
