The Hydraulic Applications Sales Engineer is responsible for effectively managing and growing sales and margins at assigned accounts & Territory. Reports to the Regional Sales Manager. Responsibilities:Develop and follow a business sales plan that provides for continued growth to meet sales goals.Build successful internal and external customer relationships.Work as a team player, utilizing all the resources of the company and sharing leads with other sales colleagues.Work independently without daily supervision but remains responsive to company management requests for assignments and account intelligence.Facilitate the sales forecast and keep the companys CRM system updated with customers communications, sales calls, and opportunities.Become very knowledgeable with assigned product lines, striving to become a resource of solutions for assigned customers.Negotiate win-win contracts that are good business decisions for the customer and the company.Identify new customers and opportunities, for assigned accounts or geography or product/service typeTravel throughout the assigned territory with some overnight travel as required. Requirements:BSME or BSEE engineering degree is preferred; however extended application experience can substitute for a formal engineering degree.5 years of experience utilizing computer software including Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet Explorer, AutoCAD, and contact management or CRM programs.Minimum of 5 years of experience in application sales or a related field.Strong technical and communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to read, write and speak the English language proficiently enough to communicate with co-workers and industry associates, understand directions, respond to management inquiries, and make entries on reports and recordsExperience in a manufacturing or repair environment managing hydraulic assembly projects or repairs, interacting with a wide array of people including salesmen, customers, vendors, engineers, supervisors, shop mechanics, and quality people.Bosch Rexroth Hydraulics products experience is preferred.Excellent organizational skillsAbility to read and understand hydraulic schematics and blueprints.Knowledge of hydraulics parts, fittings, and systems is a plusProven track recordthe candidate has successfully demonstrated technical knowledge in previous jobs or project assignments.Mechanical or electro-mechanical aptitude.
