About The Position

We’re looking for a technically skilled inside sales professional with hands-on experience in hydraulic systems — particularly those used on construction equipment and dump trucks. This person will serve as a key technical resource for our customers, helping them identify the right hydraulic cylinders for their applications and design custom cylinders tailored to their specific performance or dimensional requirements.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience working with hydraulic systems, preferably in the construction equipment, trucking, or heavy machinery industry.
  • Deep understanding of hydraulic systems and cylinder function, repair, and design principles.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate technical details into customer-friendly explanations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to read, translate, and understand blueprints.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing or specifying cylinders for custom applications is a strong plus.
  • Prior experience in a shop or field service environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as technical contact for customers and internal team members regarding hydraulic cylinder selection, troubleshooting, and design support.
  • Interpret customer needs by reviewing equipment specifications, photos, measurements, or part numbers to recommend the correct replacement or cross-compatible cylinders.
  • Collaborate with customers and manufacturing partners to design new cylinders that meet specific performance, mounting, and dimensional needs.
  • Gather customer feedback and market insights to help drive product development and identify opportunities for new or improved hydraulic cylinder, accessories, and component offerings.
  • Work closely with the sales, purchasing, and operations teams to turn customer needs into product solutions — ensuring accurate specifications, documentation, and setup for new items.
  • Provide application support and technical insights on hydraulic systems (telescopic, single-acting, double-acting, and custom configurations).
  • Handle quoting, order entry, and follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and project completion.
  • Stay current on hydraulic technology, system design trends, and manufacturer updates.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
