About The Position

Mullins Mechanical is a leader in industrial and large commercial mechanical, plumbing, HVAC construction projects. Our projects are often in the industrial and manufacturing environments, such as manufacturing facilities, automotive plants, chemical plants, distribution centers, warehouses, and other large commercial facilities. We are a self-performing specialty contractor specializing in design-build applications, HVAC systems, plumbing, process piping systems, boiler and chiller systems, equipment installation and rigging, plant relocation and maintenance, and metal fabrication.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a support or safety role (construction site, sports team, or event crew preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and educate others.
  • Physically capable of standing, walking, and lifting supplies throughout the workday.
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and proactive in promoting safety.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction required
  • CPR/First Aid Certification required
  • Heat Stress Awareness Training required

Nice To Haves

  • Heat Illness Prevention Training and Medical or clinical background preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all Mullins team members remain properly hydrated and adhere to Mullins fatigue management protocols.
  • Monitor hydration levels of personnel and encourage regular fluid intake.
  • Proactively manage water stations, including setup, maintenance, and continuous replenishment throughout the day.
  • Distribute electrolyte-enhanced beverages, snacks, or supplements based on site needs.
  • Maintain cool-down stations and tent break areas, ensuring proper housekeeping and consistent supply replenishment.
  • Support worker recovery during high-exertion activities or extreme environmental conditions by utilizing Mullins-provided resources.
  • Track fluid consumption to identify early signs of dehydration or heat-related illness.
  • Educate workers on proper hydration practices and healthy habits to support overall health, safety, and productivity.
  • Communicate with supervisors and safety personnel if signs of fatigue, heat stress, or dehydration are observed.
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of hydration stations at all times.
  • Assist in implementing weather-related safety protocols, especially during high heat or humidity.
  • Coordinate with site supervision to track work schedules and ensure fatigue management protocols are followed.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
