About The Position

As we continue to grow and expand our product offerings, we’re seeking a motivated Sales Representative to join our team. This hybrid role combines inside sales support and outside field engagement, ideal for a results-driven professional who enjoys building relationships, driving sales, and providing customers with reliable solutions. Candidates with electrical, security, or audio-visual (AV) sales experience are strongly encouraged to apply. This background is a major plus and highly valued in this role. Position Overview Generator Sales Representatives will focus on selling residential and light commercial Generac standby generators and related services. This role involves managing customer inquiries, developing builder and homeowner relationships, and guiding clients through the sales and installation process. You’ll serve as the key connection between our customers, builders, and installation teams, ensuring every project runs smoothly from consultation to completion. This is an excellent opportunity for a high-energy sales professional with strong technical aptitude, communication skills, and a passion for helping customers find the right power solutions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3–5 years of sales experience.
  • Strong record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service abilities.
  • Technical understanding of power generation, electrical systems, and low-voltage technologies.
  • Ability to interpret construction plans/specs and collaborate with field teams.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple projects independently.
  • Willing to undergo background and drug screen prior to employment

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Electrical, security system, or audio-visual experience is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business through builder partnerships, homeowner consultations, and targeted outreach.
  • Manage inbound and outbound sales opportunities, from initial inquiry to closing the sale.
  • Conduct on-site assessments to evaluate customer needs and recommend appropriate generator solutions.
  • Present, promote, and sell Generac standby power systems using a consultative, solution-based approach.
  • Collaborate with installation, service, and project management teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product lines, technical specifications, and industry trends.
  • Track and report sales performance, forecasts, and customer feedback to sales leadership.
  • Support marketing and customer education initiatives, including product demos and launch events.
