About The Position

Hybrid Control Process Manager (Sr. Associate) We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced operations professional with exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills. A successful Controls Manager supporting Branch and Cafe Operations is adaptable, applies integrated thinking, and is able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. As the leader for the Controls Team, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining and implementing Well Managed Controls Framework. You will be expected to leverage established Capital One practices while employing innovative thinking to build and enhance the operational environment and ensure compliance with all standards. You will be leading and overseeing a team of associates that perform control execution activities associated with Branch & Cafe Operations processes. You will partner with the appropriate teams to investigate, resolve and report on control activities/results in a well managed and timely manner. You will also be responsible for expanding our operational capabilities, strengthening existing processes, and partnering with key stakeholders to drive initiatives. You will coach and develop your team, and build advocates for providing exceptional service and meeting business objectives.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
  • At least 2 years of people management experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in Process Management or Project Management
  • At least 1 year of Google Suite experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
  • At least 2 years experience in Process or Project Management
  • BPM, Lean or Six Sigma Certified

Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee all daily branch and cafe operations control activities, ensuring adherence to operational procedures and controls are executed as intended and meets Enterprise Control Standards.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of associates.
  • Foster an inclusive culture that enables the team to elevate each other and achieve performance targets
  • Effectively document and track team performance, ensuring timely escalation of impediments.
  • Implement and maintain processes that ensure compliance with company policies, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Actively identify operational gaps and lead actions needed to develop and implement preventative measures that mitigate operational and reputational risk.
  • Work with key stakeholders to create consistent, repeatable, timely reporting of operational status, key performance indicators (KPIs), and compliance results.
  • Build productive relationships with partners within STRIVE, Risk, and partner teams that intertwine and or overlap with Branch & Cafe Operations to support and enhance branch and cafe initiatives.
