As an Hy-Chi Department Cook, this position is responsible for preparing various foods for the Hy-Chi department, including items for both hot and cold cases. The role involves ensuring a positive company image through courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service. Key tasks include preparing woks, cooking soups and meats, preparing vegetables and sauces, combining ingredients, placing food in hot cases, monitoring and refilling food, ordering products and supplies, cleaning the work area at the end of the shift, filling cold cases with fresh-made food, and preparing items for the next day. The cook must understand all aspects of the Hy-Chi kitchen and adhere strictly to department and company guidelines regarding personal hygiene and dress.
