Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. Raytheon is seeking a skilled mechanical engineer to support design and integration of different test environments. The individual will need to be familiar with designing using various tools (Autocad, Creo parametric, etc).

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with design tools such as AutoCad and/or Creo Parametric.
  • Active and transferrable US government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • US citizenship is required, as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong organization, coordination, planning, teaming skills, as well as written and oral communication skills
  • Existing SSBI clearance
  • Experience with mechanical design and/or experience conducting data analysis
  • Experience troubleshooting systems using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, network analyzers, and/or spectrum analyzers
  • Highly motivated individual with a positive attitude
  • Able to work and interface with a cross-discipline team
  • Knowledge of or experience with equipment rack assembly, cable assembly/installation, electronics maintenance
  • Familiar with various communication interfaces such as RS-232, RS-485, Ethernet, CAN, 1553
  • Knowledge of or experience with software languages such as Java, C, C++, or similar languages; scripting languages such as Python and/or Perl, and MATLAB scripts for data analysis purposes

Responsibilities

  • Work with various trades and designs for developmental programs within the Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) organization.
  • Perform system design and integration activities within HWIL facilities
