The Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) Department in Tucson, AZ is a multi-discipline organization responsible for designing, building and integrating state of the art testing environments (flight simulators for missiles), as the last step before flight test. On our team, you will work with weapon system designers to understand requirements, design solutions, integrate, and deploy the systems to help support tactical software development, testing, and delivery for missiles to the warfighter. This position is within the Effectors Center of the HWIL organization, and is an onsite role located in Tucson, AZ

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience performing analog, digital, and/or RF design, or VHDL/Verilog development for FPGAs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with test equipment, such as: Oscilloscopes, DMMs, Network Analyzers, Power Meters, etc.
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience with hardware integration
  • Experience with FPGA or firmware
  • Willing to perform business travel up to 20% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • You will be a member of multidiscipline engineering teams performing design, development, and integration of missile flight simulation systems.
  • Typical work involves the development of these engineering, test interface adapters, cabling, technical drawing creation, schematic creation, circuit design and analysis.
  • Your work will be responsible for performing technical, cost and schedule management of their assigned projects.
  • You will be expected to act, either as a part of the team or independently, to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of these complex systems.
