About The Position

1. Support the Americas data center construction space. 2. Work collaboratively and transparently with multiple business units, construction, energy, power, sustainability, procurement, legal, finance, public relations, and others to ensure alignment between business priorities and goals. 3. Develop supply chain risk mitigation and supplier enhancement strategies and manage key initiatives and business objectives. 4. Think long term, drives multiple initiatives, communicates appropriately and influences customers and suppliers at all levels. 5. Engineer and develop a commodity technology/product roadmap aligning business requirements with supplier capabilities. 6. Ensure a competitive sourcing environment leading to continuous improvement in quality, cost, service and technology. 7. Evaluate engineering design of existing commodities and use the evaluation to make recommendations on new innovative products. 8. Be responsible for commodity managing supplier selection strategy, schedule, qualification and price negotiation. Domestic travel up to 25% to perform role responsibilities may be Required

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Operations or related discipline and 5 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • In the alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Operations or related discipline followed by 7 years of progressively responsible, postbaccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • 5 years of experience handling sourcing categories within construction space.
  • 5 years of experience in supply chain management concepts - forecasting, planning, sourcing, optimization, logistics Experience in data centers industry or automotive industry
  • 5 years of experience using continuous improvement and Six Sigma Methodologies
  • 5 years of experience measuring key operational metrics (e.g., order cycle time, ship estimate accuracy, on time and complete shipment, inventory record defect rate)
  • 5 years of experience practicing procurement processes (category management, bench-marking, should-cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting, etc.)
  • 5 years of experience in vendor negotiations, global contract management, process improvement and supplier relationship management
  • 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, inventory management and operations
