Requirements

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in construction, appliance repair, and property maintenance.
  • Proven service technician experience with field service operations in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration).
  • Ability to read schematics and understand HVAC design principles for effective troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems and experience working with HVAC/R equipment.
  • Proficiency in plumbing, refrigeration techniques, and boiler maintenance.
  • Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; capable of performing equipment repair and welding tasks.
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record; experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair a wide range of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
  • Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately troubleshoot issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system calibrations, and preventive inspections to optimize performance.
  • Install new HVAC equipment following safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
  • Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems, including pipe repairs and refrigerant line servicing.
  • Utilize tools like ohmmeters and welding equipment for electrical testing and component repairs.
  • Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports for each job performed.
