Employment Type Full‑Time Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC Technician in Chatham County to support the maintenance, repair, and performance of HVAC and refrigeration‑related systems across our convenience store (C‑Store) locations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring a safe, comfortable, and compliant environment for customers and employees in a fast‑paced retail setting. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, works well independently, and is comfortable traveling between multiple sites.

Requirements

  • HVAC Technician experience in commercial or retail environments preferred
  • Valid HVAC certification(s) and/or EPA Universal Certification required
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, controls, and preventative maintenance
  • Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work in varied environments
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, time management, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including rooftop units, split systems, and ventilation equipment
  • Troubleshoot HVAC, temperature control, and airflow issues to ensure optimal performance
  • Perform preventative maintenance according to schedules and manufacturer specifications
  • Respond to service calls and emergency repairs, minimizing downtime and disruption to store operations
  • Work with refrigeration systems as applicable (walk‑ins, coolers, freezers, or beverage equipment)
  • Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and compliance documentation
  • Coordinate with vendors and outside contractors when needed
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards, building codes, and company policies
  • Travel between multiple C‑Store locations within assigned territory
