Requirements

  • Specialized HVAC technical training and certifications for handling refrigerants.
  • Strong understanding of industrial systems, including three-phase electrical wiring and cooling system troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read, understand, and utilize technical manuals effectively.
  • Capability to work safely in confined spaces, at heights, and lift heavy equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • EPA 608 Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in industrial environments with multiple heating and cooling systems.
  • Familiarity with heavy industrial settings involving cooling towers.
  • EPA 608 Certification (Universal preferred).

Responsibilities

  • System Maintenance: Monitor, service, and maintain various cooling and heating systems used at the facility for offices and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Installation Leadership: Lead or assist in the installation of new HVAC devices, coordinating purchases and contractor activities to meet project timelines and quality standards.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Utilize technical manuals and specialized knowledge to diagnose and resolve issues with industrial cooling systems, including air and water-based systems.
  • Daily Operations: Perform hands-on work involving confined spaces, heights, and lifting equipment up to 50 lbs, maintaining safety and efficiency throughout daily tasks.
  • Success Metrics: Achieve consistent system uptime, timely completion of maintenance and installation tasks, and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Travel Requirements: Minimal travel expected; primarily onsite at Newton facility.
